Mission Statement

The Edgemont Community Council (ECC) is a community council of Edgemont civic associations that has been active since 1947. It is the only common forum representing the entire Edgemont community. ECC represents Edgemont in town, county and state issues that affect our community.

ECC:

•  Takes positions on zoning, planning, budget traffic, school district and fire district issues;

•  Operates the School Board Nominating Committee, providing an impartial chairperson and underwriting its costs;

•  Presents the "Silver Box Award" annually to an Edgemont resident for longtime commitment and exemplary service to the community.

The Board of Directors includes members-at-large, elected by the general membership at the April Annual Meeting, and the presidents of the neighborhood civic associations or their designees. The Board meets monthly, usual the first Monday of the month, in the high school Faculty Lounge. Members of the community are welcome to attend.
