Communications Committee

Mission:

Analyze all elements of the Temple's communications and make recommendations to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of the Temple's communications so as to:

• Build a stronger Temple environment of warmth, inclusion and community.
• Strengthen the connection between the Temple and its congregants.
• Increase congregational participation and meaningful engagement in the overgrowing suite of programs, services and committee activities.

The elements of the Temple's communications include but are not limited to method, format, structure, frequency, medium, visual presentation, design, and distribution methods.

Action Plan

Establish a committee to:

• Conduct a Communications Audit of the traditional media the Temple has used.
• Explore and make recommendations on opportunities for expansion of electronic interaction through web site and e-mail.
• Enlist other committees such as Congregational Involvement and Caring Committee for their input on identification and implementation strategies to improve communications.
• Provide a framework of strategies for a rollout of a cohesive, comprehensive communications plan.
