Erev Shabbat, Friday evening, September 1

  • Tot Shabbat Service: 5:15 pm. All families with early childhood-aged children are invited to this special, monthly service created just for you! Join members of our clergy for an enjoyable way to welcome Shabbat as a family, filled with songs, stories, and good times. We hope to see you there!
  • Kabbalat Shabbat Services: 6:15 pm. Please join us for our early Kabbalat Shabbat worship in the Raisler Room. We will welcome the Sabbath with prayer and song. A Kiddush will follow services.

Shabbat, Saturday, September 2

  • Shabbat Morning Minyan: 10:15 am. Join us in the Morse Chapel. This warm, inviting service, led by both clergy and lay leaders, offers a special opportunity to pray, sing, and learn. Services will be followed by Torah Study and a light snack.

Erev Shabbat, Friday evening, September 8

  • Erev Shabbat Services: 7:30 pm. Please join us for our Erev Shabbat worship in the Raisler Room. We will welcome the Sabbath with prayer and song. Services will include a special Welcome for Prospective Members. An Oneg Shabbat will follow in the Davis Auditorium.  

Shabbat, Saturday, September 9

  • Shabbat Morning Worship: 10:00 am. All are invited to join us at our Shabbat morning worship in the main sanctuary. Services will include the Bnai Mitzvah celebrations of Frederic Berger and Kate Resnick.
  • Shabbat Morning Minyan: 10:15 am. Join us in the Morse Chapel. This warm, inviting service, led by both clergy and lay leaders, offers a special opportunity to pray, sing, and learn. Services will be followed by Torah Study and a light snack.

Temple Shaaray Tefila's regular weekly Shabbat Worship Service Schedule:


1st Erev Shabbat, Friday evening, of each month:

  • 5:15 pm Tot Shabbat especially for families with Early Childhood children.
  • 6:15 pm Kabbalat Shabbat early service in the sanctuary.


2nd Erev Shabbat:

  • 6:00 pm Family Shabbat Service especially for families with students in Grades 1-6 (except June, July, and August).
  • 7:30 pm Erev Shabbat worship in the sanctuary

3rd, 4th and 5th Erev Shabbat:

  • 7:30 pm Erev Shabbat worship in the sanctuary.


Shabbat mornings and afternoons:

  • 10:00 am Shabbat Service including Bnai Mitzvah, namings, wedding blessings/aufruf, anniversary blessings, etc. in the main sanctuary (only when there are Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations).
  • 10:15 am weekly Minyan in the Morse Chapel with Torah Study following.
  • 10:30 am Shabbat morning Tot Shabbat on selected dates.
  • 10:30 am Junior Congregation service for students in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades on selected dates.
  • Havdalah service marking the end of Shabbat on selected dates including every Sandwich Saturday.
